Obtaining a T-Card and UTOR Email Address

TCards are issued at the TCard Office on the St. George Campus, which is located in Koffler Student Services Centre, 214 College Street, Room 102. For hours and what you’ll need to bring with you check the T-card web site.

New students are issued a TCard, which serves as the official student card as well as ID for other services, i.e. Library, Athletic Centre, etc. Students must bring one piece of University identification (e.g. UofT offer of admission OR your UTOR/JOIN ID) and Proof of citizenship.

Any returning student who needs to replace a lost Photo Library Card or TCard will need to purchase a TCard. To do so, visit the T-card office (see above) with one piece of photo-identification.

Further details about the required documents and contact details for the office can be found online at the link below:

UTOR Email Addresses

All U of T students are provided with a campus e-mail address through the UTORmail service. It is your responsibility to activate and maintain this account. You can create an account or modify an existing one at www.mail.utoronto.ca. All you need is a library number (found on your TCard) and your student number. We recommend that you do not forward your UTOR email to another address instead you should send all messages related to your TESOL courses from your UTOR e-mail and check this address.

TESOL students must use their UTOR e-mail address or they will miss important messages sent by the TESOL office. You must enter your UTOR address on ACORN or you will not receive registration/payment messages from ACORN or QUERCUS (the course software). Also there is no guarantee that messages sent by students from non-UTOR e-mail addresses will be received or answered. As well, a UOTRid e-mail address is necessary to access the new course websites. If you do not have a UTORid (utoronto e-mail address), visit the Information Commons desk on the first floor of Robarts Library.
