Tuition and Fees

Fees are calculated on a per-course basis. The most current information on tuition fees is available from the University of Toronto Student Accounts website: www.fees.utoronto.ca (click on the appropriate session, then “Fee & Refund Schedules,” then “Woodsworth College – Certificate & Diploma Programs”).

Domestic Students (Canadian Citizens and Permanent Residents)

2018-19 Part-time student costs: The 2018-19 fee schedule will be available in July 2018 from the fees website at www.fees.utoronto.ca. For reference, the cost of taking one course (0.5 full course credit) during the 2017-2018 Fall/Winter Session is $1,153.38 ($659.00 course fee + $494.38 incidental fees). Each additional course in the same session cost $659.00.

2018-19 Full-time student costs: In 2017-18 the total cost of the program if completed in 8 months (September to May) is $6,646.36. This includes course fees of $5,272.00 (8x$659.00) + incidentals fees of $1,374.36. The 2018-19 fee schedule will be available in July 2018 on the fees website at www.fees.utoronto.ca.

Tuition fees do not include books, and are subject to change from year to year.

International Students

2018-19 Part-time student costs: The 2018-19 fee schedule will be available in July 2018 from the fees website at www.fees.utoronto.ca. For reference, the cost of taking one course (0.5 full course credit) during the 2017-2018 Fall/Winter Session is $5,675.38 ($4,569.00 course fee + $1,053.98 incidental and UHIP fees). Each additional course in the same session cost $4,569.00.

2018-19 Full-time student costs: In 2017-18 the total cost of the program if completed in 8 months (September to May) was $38,538.36 ($36,552.00 course fees + $1,986.36 incidental and UHIP fees). The 2018-19 fee schedule will be available in July 2018 on the fees website at www.fees.utoronto.ca.

Definitions of Part-time/Full-time

Full-time status: Students registered in 8 courses (4.0 full credits) over the Fall and Winter sessions combined, are considered full-time.

Part-time status: Students registered in 7 courses or less (3.5 full credits or less) over the combined Fall and Winter sessions are considered part-time.

Financial Assistance

Part-time and full-time students who are Ontario residents are eligible to apply for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP). Information is available from Enrolment Services, 172 St. George Street; 416-978-2190; www.adm.utoronto.ca. In addition to OSAP, a limited number of bursaries and scholarships are available to students who need nancial assistance or who qualify for them on the basis of academic merit. Information on bursaries can be obtained from the Office of the Registrar at 416-978-4444. A list of scholarships, including requirements, is published in the Certificate Programs Calendar.
